Commercial Use License

This license explains what you may do with the animated dot-matrix files you export from LogoAnimator (the “Exports”). It is granted by [OPERATOR NAME], [OPERATOR ADDRESS], and forms part of our Terms of Service. Which license you get depends on the plan you were on at the time you made the export.

1. First things first: your logo is yours

The image you upload remains entirely yours — we claim no rights to it. This license is not about your logo; it covers the generated animation output: the dot-matrix SVG that LogoAnimator produces from your image. Of course, our license can never give you more rights to the underlying artwork than you already have, so only upload logos you are allowed to use.

2. Free plan — personal license

With a Free account (or no account), you may:

  • use your Exports for personal, non-commercial purposes — a personal site, a portfolio, a hobby project, a school assignment, evaluating the tool;
  • share them publicly in those non-commercial contexts.

You may not:

  • use Free Exports in commercial contexts — client work, company websites, ads, products for sale, or anything that promotes a business;
  • remove, hide, or crop the watermark that Free Exports carry — it must remain visible wherever the Export is used.

Want to use an Export commercially? Upgrade to Pro and re-export it — it takes seconds.

3. Pro and Lifetime — commercial license

With an active Pro subscription or a Lifetime purchase, every Export you make comes with a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive commercial license. You may:

  • use Exports in commercial projects of any kind: company websites and apps, branding, marketing, digital ads, social media, presentations, video intros, email signatures, product UI;
  • use them in client work — you may deliver Exports to your clients as part of design or development services, and the license travels with the deliverable;
  • modify the exported files (colors, size, code integration);
  • use them in an unlimited number of projects, with no attribution required.

The license for an Export is perpetual: if you later cancel your subscription, everything you exported while subscribed stays licensed. New exports made after cancellation fall back to the Free license.

4. Studio — team license

The Studio plan includes everything in the Pro commercial license, extended team-wide: every member of your Studio team may make and use commercially licensed Exports, including via batch processing and the API, on behalf of your organization and its clients. Exports made through the API carry the same license as exports made in the app.

5. What no plan allows

Regardless of your plan, you may not:

  • resell or redistribute Exports as a product of their own — for example as stock assets, template packs, NFT collections, or in a marketplace or generator that competes with LogoAnimator. Exports must be part of something you (or your client) made, not the thing being sold;
  • claim that LogoAnimator or [OPERATOR NAME] created, sponsored, or endorsed your project;
  • use Exports in unlawful, defamatory, or infringing material — remember that rights to the underlying logo are your responsibility.

6. The open-source package is separate

The logo-dot-matrix npm package is open source under the MIT license, which governs use of the code itself. This page governs files exported from the LogoAnimator app and service.

7. Questions

Unsure whether your use case is covered? Email [SUPPORT EMAIL] and ask — we’re happy to clarify in writing. This license is governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], as set out in the Terms of Service.
